Using a Capo to Change Keys

By Eric Hufschmid

Hey everybody,

Today’s lesson is a little different than ones we’ve had but just as useful. We’rea talking about how to use a capo to change keys. Basically, for this lesson, we’re using chords shapes that come out of the key of G. So when we place our capo in different spots, the ‘G shape’ we’re playing is our I chord. It’s actually a super easy idea and Eric will guide you through it!

But if you’ve got questions never hesitate to ask :)

Figure out what fret you’d have to place the capo on to change to the following keys:

B major
D major
E major
