Looking for Soloing Positions

By Eric Hufschmid

Hey lead players,

In today’s lesson we’re going to talk a little about how to come up with a game plan before soloing. Specifically, we’ll be discussing how to locate positions for soloing using all the patterns we’ve learned so far. After this lesson, you’ll realize you can cover a huge amount of the fretboard with just a few scales.

So take it slow, and really let this stuff soak in.

Quiz yourself with a number of pentatonic scales, trying to locate all of the positions of the pentatonic scales and knowing how to transition from one to the other. Do this with A minor, D minor, and G minor for starters. T
