“God Save the Queen”

By Darren DeFranco

Hey everybody,

With that C major scale under out belt it’s time to learn some songs that use it. “God Save the Queen” is the British national anthem but can still rock when played with a little distortion. Queen used to play this live and it always got the audience pumped! All of the notes from this song come out of the C major scale, so think about that as you play it.

Have fun, and God save the queen!

This song shouldn’t be difficult for you guys, but still work to get it nice and smooth and beautiful. Also, the most important thing is to understand how all of the notes in this song belong to the C major scale. When you play a fret, don’t just think about the number, but think about the actual note.
