By Eric Hufschmid

Hey guys,

The Offspring was one of the great alternative punk bands in the 90′s and would often use minor key chord progressions to showcase their raw, dark sounds. Today we’ll be looking a typical Offspring progression to get some practice with chords in a minor key.

Enjoy the progression guys!

Practice this riff and try to master it. Then, try playing a i VI III VII in these keys:

E minor

B minor

and F# minor

Key of E minor = E minor – C minor – G – D

Key of B minor = B minor – G minor – D – A

Key of F# minor = F# minor – D minor – A – E
