Open Moveable Chords
Hey guys,
Today we’re exploring a very important acoustic concept, that of open moveable chords. The basic idea is that we play simple shapes that may only consist of two or three notes, but we add in open strings to fill them out. Then, we can take these shapes and move them up the neck while keeping the same strings open. The effect is a beautiful open sound used in pop, rock, and many other styles. Much can be said about open moveable chords, but this is just an intro.
So enjoy the lesson guys!
Try combining these open moveable chords to make up your own riff.
