John Scofield Style Pentatonic Riff
Hey jazz fans!
We’re going to get some experience with that root 5 pentatonic scale by learning a riff in the style of jazz great John Scofield. John Scofield has a slight blues/rock flavor to his playing and thus the pentatonic scale works perfectly to create his sound. Just make sure to add a little bit of swing to your eighth notes!

Try to get this riff as tight and clean as possible, and think about how all the notes fit into the root 5 pentatonic scale.
