George Harrison Style Riff Using 6ths

By Darren DeFranco

Hey guys,

In today’s lesson we’re going to learn about two super common intervals for guitar: the major and minor 6ths. These intervals are used in conjunction to make some tasty licks used for classic rock, country, soul, and many other styles. Once we learn the actual intervals, we’re going to learn a riff in the style of The Beatles axeman George Harrison to get some practical experience.

Enjoy the lesson guys!

First, memorize these two intervals and then be able to play them on all the different strings. Then, master this riff!
