E Sus Family

By Eric Hufschmid

Hey guys,

In this lesson we’re learning about the E sus chords. But unfortunately, there’s only one we can easily play in first position – the Esus4 chord. So that’ll make your job a little easier! The same rules still apply though; this chord sounds awesome to mix in with a regular E chord.

Enjoy guys!

1) Memorize the E sus chord family.

2) Then, try strumming between an E and Esus4

3) Finally, try taking a common chord progression and subbing a regular E major for a E sus chord. For example, take E – B – A – B and replace the E with a Esus4. Also try making up your own progression!
