Dio Riff Using 4th and 5th Intervals

In today’s lesson we’re going to learn about two new intervals: the perfect 4th and the perfect 5th. These two intervals are often used together to make rock riffs, so we’ll demonstrate this concept with a heavy hitting Ronnie James Dio style riff. We really hope you enjoy it!

Memorize the two new intervals, the perfect fourth and perfect fifth. Then, try going back to some previous riffs we learned and identify whether they use any of these new intervals. And as always, master the riff we showed you!
