Create Your Own Chords
Hey guys,
Today’s lesson is for your more creative players out there. Up until now we’ve been showing you chord shapes, but today’s the day you get to make your own! Basically we are going to show you some strategies you can use, including adding notes, subtracting notes, adding open strings, sliding shapes up or down, etc. We’ll then combine all of these ideas for a cool riff. Player like John Lennon have used strategies like this and found a lot of success, and we hope it works for you too!

Try using some of these strategies to write your own riff! Remember, just start with a familiar shaped chord and then manipulate it to create a progression. You guys can do it!
