Blues Rock Utopia – Following The 12 Bar Blues

By Eric Hufschmid

Hey guys,

In this lesson we’re going to explore the blues rock style. Basically, we’re going to take a riff and transpose it to other keys depending on what chord is being played in the 12 bar blues progression. This is a super common classic rock technique and has been used by The Allman Brothers, Led Zeppelin, and more. It’s easy, fun, and sounds great.

Enjoy guys!

Master the riff we created and then try making a riff of your own. Then, take it and transpose it to match the other chords in the pentatonic scale.
